We made a game plane the day before to go on a city tour and the the Van Gogh museum. We up in Dam Square for the tour. The next two hours we toured the city of Amsterdam along the way learning many interesting facts about the sights.
After the tour and a quick refreshment we made the long walk to the Van Gogh museum. Well worth it and a very in depth look at Van Gogh and his work. We jumped in to a tram back to central station where we had dinner and made it back to the hotel.
Amsterdam Day 2
It was an easy morning we spent the night recouping from a day of travel. The morning was bright and clear and it took us back to the airport to meet out U.K. friend Kelly we talked and catched up as we made a quick pit stop at the hotel. The plan was to take a Canal boat tour of Amsterdam and after night fall visit the Prostitute Museum. But not before some food.
We headed to Dam Square had some drinks and fries. The canal tour was amazing as night fell and the city began to light up. After the boat tour we wound down the allies to the red light district. The bustling little streets soon began to warm up with soft red glow that soon lined the door size windows with a wide variety of ladies that had easy smiles and inviting stares.
We finally reached our destination and popped into Red Light Secrets Prostituion Museum. It was a very well done Museum with lots of dark and interesting facts. It's a definite must do.
A quick bite of pizza and a short train took us back to the hotel. The night ended with an episode of American Horror Story. Ready for day 3!
Today we flew to Amsterdam out of our home town of Houston tx. The flight was a quick little jump filled with boxed meals, 30 minute power naps and horror movies. We landed at Amsterdam airport and took a short train ride to our hotel.
Checked in but without a room yet we jumped on another train for a quick ride into Amsterdam Grand Central Station. We walked over to The Palace where we ate Potatoe Croquets, coffee and a pint of the nations pride.
We followed the canals over to La Savonnerie a local soap shop for some recon and new ideas that we could bring back with us to Texas! A walk back to the station and a trian ride had us back at the posh hotel where they greeted us with some drinks by the time we could make out the bottom of our glasses they had our rooms ready.
A fast lift up the "lift" and we are in our room. We got comfortable and relaxed the rest of the evening watching Stranger Things. GOOD NIGHT! :)
