5:47 am and my eyes are open... yes, it is strange time for an alarm to go off (especially on a Saturday.) But on this particular Staurday I had planned on waking up early. Not exactly 5:47 early but my alarm clock today was beat by the rumbles, rolling and crashing from the storm a brewing outside my window. Once I realize what these loud and omnimous sounds mean. I check my email... nope... no notifications of cancellation. So, the Soap show must go on. I get ready.... Paul gets ready. I get my coffee fix as well as some sustance and away we go. Down the freeway and crossing back roads hoping the dark clouds stay behind us. We continue to drive and it begins... the rain has finally caught up with us. We stay the course and hope Vicky (my semi trusty gps) is having a good day and gets us to the right location... and she is, she does, just as the rain begins to let down. Paul and I quicky begin to unload, first the soap, then the tent, then up goes the tent and tables, out goes the soap and we are ready for our very first Pop Soap apperance at The Memorial Village Farmers Market. Now that everything is set up and ready... of course the rain manages to find us once more. We quickly protect the soap.. (since water is soaps favorite friend) and we wait...and wait..and wait a little more. After what seems like a mini eternity... we catch a break and the rain sezies...and then kind and gentle folk of Memorial Village slowly begin emerge, one after the other, after the other as though they await the news from the previous bunch to asure it is safe to come out.. it is. We chat, we laugh, we meet fellow soap lovers and make new friends. It was a great rainy day.
Paul and I would like to thank everyone who made it out today, or has seen us at another show, ever tried our soap, or just randomly stummbled across a pic online. Thank you.
Until next time Boys and Girls... Stay Dirty!
